Pre-Conference Course: Meet the Speakers – Lindsay Dandeneau and Ghislaine Sylvestre

From Vision to Reality: How to Start a Successful Business

Lindsay Dandeneau and Ghislaine Sylvestre, Entrepreneurship Manitoba

Have a business idea but don’t know how to get it up and running? Wonder if your idea will make money? Take part in this one-day business workshop to get answers to these questions and more. Work through a business case study to learn the ins and outs of starting a business, how to develop a business plan, and the basic understanding of financial statements. You will be able to determine if the proposed business will make money and how much is needed to get it started. You will also learn about tools, resources and money that may be available to make your vision a reality and start a successful business.

Lindsay Dandeneau is a Business Consultant for Entrepreneurship Manitoba. She has over ten years of experience counseling entrepreneurs to start and expand businesses. In addition, Lindsay assisted in the management of a family-owned business. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree, a diploma in Business Administration and a certificate in Economic Development.

Ghislaine Sylvestre is a Business Services Officer with Entrepreneurship Manitoba. She assists entrepreneurs to navigate through the process of starting their business. In addition, Ghislaine operated a successful retail business for over seven years and has extensive experience in small business operations, including business planning, marketing, bookkeeping, on-line sales and website design. Over the past ten years she has also provided entrepreneurial training and has delivered numerous seminars on related business topics.
