James Lavallee

Biography

James Lavallee has been kayaking for 10 years and continues to represent Canada Internationally. James has represented Canada at two Junior World Championships and has won several Medals at the National Championship level. He has also competed in two Canada Summer Games earning 3 Medals for Manitoba in 2017. James was the recipient of the 2017 Tom Longboat award for Male Aboriginal Athlete of the year as well as the 2019 Indspire award for Métis Youth. As James continues to develop in the sport, he remains determined to wear the Maple Leaf at the Olympics Games. James is very proud of his Métis heritage and loves to spend time outdoors. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science at the University of Manitoba.
